DR. HAYAN LEE
Lead Dentist
Dr. Hayan Lee immigrated from South Korea and graduated from MUSC Dental. She co-owns Delite Dental, a husband-and-wife practice in Summerville, South Carolina, where she combines biological dentistry and airway-focused dentistry to support whole-body health.
Dr. Lee is a qualified dentist through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), a distinction recognizing advanced clinical proficiency in the management of sleep-related breathing disorders. She has pursued extensive continuing education in airway dentistry, functional oral health, and holistic dentistry, integrating these disciplines into a comprehensive approach to care. She has a special passion for helping children develop healthy breathing and growth patterns through early, airway-focused care, believing that supporting proper development early in life lays the foundation for lifelong wellness.
She is a SMART-certified member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and a member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO). Dr. Lee provides clear-aligner therapy using Invisalign and Spark and is a Vivos and HealthyStart provider, offering airway-centered, growth-guided care that supports natural development and long-term wellness from childhood through adulthood. She has also received advanced training in myofunctional therapy and TMJ care and is certified in infant frenectomy.
She continues to pursue ongoing education in holistic dentistry, sleep medicine, and functional orthodontics. Her passion for airway dentistry comes from her love of problem-solving and “putting puzzle pieces together.” She finds it deeply rewarding to see how better breathing and sleep can transform lives—improving overall health, confidence, and well-being.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys playing the piano, organic gardening, and homeschooling her 11-year-old son. She also treasures time with her beautiful family—her husband, their son, their daughter, and their beloved Havanese dog.
DR. YOUNG KIM
Lead Dentist
Dr. Young Kim immigrated from South Korea at the age of 17 and later graduated from MUSC Dental. He co-owns Delite Dental, a husband-and-wife practice in Summerville, South Carolina, where he focuses on biological dentistry and whole-body health.
Dr. Kim has completed many hours of advanced training in the U.S. and abroad, continually expanding his knowledge in biological and functional dentistry. He is a SMART-certified dentist and has completed ozone training, as well as advanced ozone applications in dentistry. His expertise includes cavitation surgery, ceramic dental implants, laser dentistry, and NightLase® snoring treatment. He has also received training in aesthetic veneers, allowing him to provide patients with both biologically safe and naturally beautiful restorations.
What makes Dr. Kim especially compassionate is his own personal history with dental phobia. As a child in Korea, he experienced difficult dental treatments and used to pinch himself just to get through visits. This experience gives him deep empathy for both children and adults who may feel anxious at the dentist, and he is committed to providing gentle, supportive care. He finds it especially rewarding to serve patients through biological dentistry, helping them feel healthier and more confident.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim enjoys playing soccer, cooking traditional Korean food, and spending time with his family. He shares a love of Pokémon cards with his son, enjoying collecting and trading them together, and he treasures creating meaningful family moments with his wife and two children.
